Anthony P. FavroDeputy Director, Management Services Tony Favro was appointed as the deputy director for management services on April 9, 2012. Management Services provides Departmental administration and executive leadership through policy direction and a variety of program support services necessary for the successful completion of the Department's mission. Favro's responsibilities include oversight of the Department's Accounting, Fiscal, and Business Services Offices, Budget Office, Information Technology Services, Labor and Human Resources Office, and Technical Services. With a bachelor's degree in English from Santa Clara University, Favro blends strong communication skills with an ability to work cooperatively with staff at all levels, other State departments, control agencies, and other public and private entities. Over the course of 20 years with CAL FIRE, Favro has held a variety of positions that have provided him with invaluable experience and insight into the Department. Prior to his current appointment, he served as CAL FIRE's Chief of Program Accountability and Information Security Officer (ISO), managing the Department's internal auditing function and administering its information security and privacy protection programs to ensure compliance with State and Departmental policies, rules, and regulations. He has also managed CAL FIRE's Classification and Pay and Policy and Project Services Units within Human Resources, supervised the Department's Health and Fitness Unit, managed the Aviation Management Administrative Support Program, worked as the Administrative Officer for the Fire Protection Program, and spent time in the Equal Employment Opportunity Office, Information and Public Affairs, and Business Services. |
