Acres Burned: 4,100 (est. 3,100 in U.S. and 1,000 in Mexico)

Control: Full control estimated on October 19 at 6 p.m.

Cause: Under Investigation
Cooperating Agencies: CDF, U.S. Forest Service, local government, Border Patrol, CHP, San Diego Sheriff

Costs to date: $2.6 million
Incident Base Location: Potrero County Park
Major Incident Command Team: #8
Conditions: The fire started in Mexico and rapidly spread on both sides of the border.
Weather had been hot and windy, but improved which helped the firefighting effort.
Terrain is steep and in areas of heavy vegetation.
Many firefighting crews will be released today.
Control of the fire will transition from the Command Team back to the CDF San Diego Unit on Sunday, October 9, at noon.
