| Conditions: |
The fire started in Mexico and rapidly spread on both sides of the border. Weather had been hot and windy, but improved which helped the firefighting effort. Terrain is steep and in areas of heavy vegetation. Many firefighting crews will be released today. Control of the fire will transition from the Command Team back to the CDF San Diego Unit on Sunday, October 9, at noon. |
