Crews continue to improve and secure control lines. No change in acreage or containment.
The Volcano Fire is now 95% contained.
No reported change to acreage or containment.
All evacuation warnings have been lifted. Please use caution while driving in the area.
The Volcano Fire is now 90% contained.
Due to more accurate mapping, the Volcano Fire is now 138 acres and 70% contained.
The Volcano Fire is 60% contained.
Evacuation Orders have dropped from the Volcano Fire. Evacuation Warnings are still in place.
Crews strengthened containment lines last night and hit hotspots in the interior of the fire. Crews will continue to extend the lines and mop up heavy deposit areas in the steep terrain.
Firefighters remain on-scene building containment lines and mopping up hot spots. Fire crews are expected to remain on-scene throughout today and this evening.
Crews made great progress today extending the lines and hitting hotspots. Crews will continue to improve lines tonight and hit hot spots. This will be the last update for the night.

#VolcanoFIRE [UPDATE 7/8/26 @ 1:00 PM]: The Evacuation Warnings have been lifted. The Evacuation Order in Zone RVC-2146 has been reduced to an Evacuation Warning, and an Evacuation Order for 117-Volcano Fire Perimeter is still in place.
The fire was mapped by intel flight at 137 acres. Crews made good progress working hot spots around the perimeter. Today, crews will continue to strengthen containment lines and work heavy fuel deposits and hot spots in the interior of the fire. Temperatures will increase today and crews from throughout Southern California have arrived to assist in the fire fight. Evacuation Orders and Warnings remain in place and will be reevaluated as conditions warrant.
The fire was mapped by Intel Flight at 137 acres and remains 25% contained. Crews will continue working throughout the night assisted by night flying helicopters. There are no reports of injuries to firefighters or civilians. This will be the last update for the night unless there are significant changes.
Crews continue to strengthen containment lines and work heavy fuel spots.
Evacuation Orders have been reduced to Warnings.
"No divert" has been issued on air tankers due to an immediate life threat. Structures will be threatened imminently. IC requests 15 additional engines and 2 water tenders.

Firefighters are on-scene of a vegetation fire burning at a moderate rate in medium fuels. An additional ten engines and aircraft have been requested. A Public Information Officer, Riverside County Sheriff's Department and Emergency Management Department are also responding.
