The Holser Fire is 100% contained.
VCFD firefighters continue to keep a vigilant eye on the Holser Fire burn area, returning daily to monitor conditions through visual inspections and drone flights.
Crews are checking the fire perimeter and interior to identify any remaining heat or hotspots and ensure containment lines continue to hold. The perimeter remains secured by a combination of fire-retardant lines and hand-built containment lines.
The Holser Fire remains at 95% containment.

The Holser Fire is burning in a remote area with difficult access and continues to show improved conditions today. Firefighters are steadily reinforcing control lines around the incident perimeter, while mop‑up operations progress to secure hotspots and reduce the chance of spread. CAL FIRE ground resources remain actively engaged on scene, working through rugged terrain to strengthen containment despite challenging access. Further updates will be provided as containment efforts continue.
Evacuation Warnings have been updated for the Holser Fire.
Forward progress of the fire has been stopped. Firefighters continue to make good progress and will remain on scene throughout the night, working in steep and difficult terrain.
Crews will continue building and strengthening containment lines around the fire perimeter while locating and extinguishing hotspots along the perimeter and throughout the fire’s interior.

The fire has burned approximately 167 acres and is currently 0% contained. CAL FIRE resources have been assigned to the incident. The fire is located in a remote area with difficult access and poses a potential threat to powerlines, critical infrastructure including Piru Dam, and nearby agricultural areas. Evacuation warnings have been issued for areas of concern. Acreage is based on data from sensor aircraft."

Air tankers continue making retardant drops as ground crews deploy hose lines around the fire perimeter. Helicopters are continuing water drops on hotspots to support firefighters on the ground. More than 200 firefighters and 80 fire engines are currently assigned to the incident.
The Holser fire is estimated at 75 acres. Firefighters are making excellent progress from both the air and ground. The early arrival of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft has significantly supported suppression efforts.
Evacuation Warnings have been added for Los Angeles County in additon to Ventura County. Please avoid the vicinity for firefighter and public safety.
