Status Updates

Favorable weather conditions continue to aid firefighters in strengthening and holding fire lines. Unburned areas of brush, within containment lines, may continue to periodically burn.

The Evacuation Shelter at Foresthill High School is now closed.

As of 10 am this morning, all roads will be open to residents with valid ID. Firefighters continue fire suppression efforts, strengthening fire lines. Smoke may be visible as unburned areas of brush, within containment lines, periodically burn. Fire line repair is underway in all areas of the fire.

Evacuations/Road Closures: Residents of the Foresthill Communities are requested to not travel west into the canyon on Yankee Jims Road until further notice, due to continuing fireline and road rehabilitation.

Resources Assigned

CAL FIRE owns and operates over 3,000 fire and emergency response and resource protection vehicles. In support of its ground forces, the CAL FIRE emergency response air program includes 23 Grumman S-2T 1,200 gallon airtankers, 11 UH-1H Super Huey helicopters, and 14 OV-10A airtactical.
