Current Situation:

The #McFarlandFire is currently 122,598 acres and 84% contained. U.S. Forest Service - Shasta-Trinity National Forest and CAL FIRE Tehama-Glenn Unit remain in unified command of the fire.

Today, crews continued to pull hose and excess equipment in the western and northern areas. In Beegum Gorge, crews continued to mop up the perimeter. A small amount of fire activity continues well within the interior as it burns out. All control lines are secure on the east side and backhaul continues. Minimal heat remains along the southern edge where crews are working.

The priority for tonight is to keep the fire within its current perimeter, and to continue mop up and patrol. There will again be northwest winds with gust to 30 mph. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for tomorrow at 5 a.m. continuing until 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
