Current Situation

Situation Summary

Current Situation:

Firefighters are working in an extremely receptive fuelbed, on steep rugged terrain. A large quantity of standing dead trees are are making for intense burning within the
fire perimeter.
Firefighters and bull dozer are building line around the fire which stands at 184 acres and 25% contained.

Evacuations:

The Willow Glen Corridor from the north end of Timothy Lane to the south end of Sky
Glen Way will remain under EVACUATION ORDER (Zone YUB-094-A).

Evacuation Warnings:

Evacuation warnings were lifted today but remain under an advisory in YUB-081-B -Willow Glen south of Frenchtown to Timothy Lane (Greenwell, Acorn, Red Rock OK
to return)

  • YUB-089-C: Frenchtown Rd Corridor

Evacuation Centers:

A temporary evacuation center was set up at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds, 442 Franklin Ave, Yuba City.

Road Closures:

  • Willow Glen Road @ Timothy Lane
  • Willow Glen Road @ Sky Glen
  • Sunset Road @ Begonia Way

Animal Evacuation Centers: 

For any residents that remain evacuated but have animals left behind at home that need assistance with feeding/watering/care - please contact our Animal Care Services Division who is working alongside our Sheriff Posse to coordinate animal care within the evacuation zones. They can be reached at 530-741-6478.
Our Large Animal evacuation remains open and operational at the Posse Arena, 5396 Marysville Rd, Browns Valley.
The Evacuation Center at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds on Franklin Avenue in Yuba City has a shelter for evacuated dogs; and the Cat/Small Animal shelter is located at
Whiteaker Hall, 44 2nd Street in Yuba City.

Large Animal Evacuations can be taken to the Yuba County Sheriff Posse Arena at 5396 Marysville Rd. Browns Valley.
