Incident Update Mill Fire

Situation Summary

Firefighters are working towards full containment and reinforcing established lines. Smoldering and creeping fire behavior was observed overnight. Hot and Dry conditions will linger today with the potential for relative humidity to drop into the single digits. Winds are expected to increase this afternoon however the fire is not expected to grow. Damage assessments are ongoing as Assessment Teams continue to validate data collected. Repopulation in some areas has occurred as the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office continues to lift Evacuation Orders and Warnings.
