Current Situation

Situation Summary

The Royal Fire has burned 215 acres of timber and is 30% contained.  Firefighters continue to make progress and have witnessed a reduction in fire behavior.  It continues to threaten structures, private timber lands, and cultural resources, with evacuation warnings still in effect. Control efforts are hampered by difficult access and terrain. Unified Command between CAL FIRE and the USFS will conclude at 1700 hours, Thursday, July 11,2024.
