Current Situation
Situation Summary
Firefighting resources continue to make steady progress across the incident. Crews are actively constructing direct control lines, mitigating threats to infrastructure, and engaging in structure defense operations within impacted communities.
Damage Inspection Teams continue conducting assessments in affected areas.
Overnight weather conditions will promote strong moisture recovery, which will contribute to decreased fire activity. Despite this, heavier fuels and dense vegetation stands continue to smolder. These areas will remain a priority until crews can safely access and mitigate hazards to fully extinguish remaining heat sources.
Evacuation Shelters are now closed. Anyone needing assistance can contact the Mono County Emergency Management Department at 760-924-4633.
