Situation Summary
Firefighters continue to make headway despite the challenges posed by deep-seated heat in thick juniper duff. Mop-up efforts remain intensive, focusing on extinguishing hot spots well within the control lines to reduce the risk of reignition. A fire suppression team will begin assessing the situation and evaluating the necessary resources needed. Crews will focus on initiating repairs.
Operational focus will include deep mop-up, hazard tree mitigation, and preparation for potential weather shifts in the coming days. Containment is expected to continue increasing with favorable conditions. Please avoid the area due to heavy fire resources in the area.
Evacuation Warnings will remain in effect as crews continue to secure the fire perimeter and monitor for any unexpected changes in fire behavior.
