Current Situation
Situation Summary
Firefighters were able to make progress last night as fire behavior was minimal. A substantial number of extra firefighters and equipment have been requested for today, as there will be work to fully contain the fire. The fire is burning in steep and rugged terrain near Pala Reservation.
EVACUATION ORDERS and WARNINGS are still in place.
UPDATE: 5/31/25 10:20 - Aircraft continue to work assisting firefighters in containing the fire. A Very Large Airtanker has arrived and continues to make drops.
