Current Situation
Situation Summary
Firefighters responded to a fast-moving wildfire burning in dry grass near the area of Fountain Springs southeast of Ducor. Ground and Air resources made great efforts with all the high winds to stop the forward progress of the fire. The fire has burned into Kern County and resources from Kern County are assisting with firefighting efforts. All structure threats have been mitigated. Firefighters will continue to work through the night to secure additional containment as temperatures cool and fire conditions improve.
