Current Situation
Situation Summary
The Ranch Fire remains active and wind-driven in steep, rugged terrain. Firefighters are focusing on structure protection and containment line construction as shifting winds and low humidity continue to influence fire behavior. Multiple structures are threatened, and a Reverse 9-1-1 alert was issued earlier today to notify residents in the impact area.
This evening, southerly winds up to 15 mph with gusts to 23 mph will shift to the southwest overnight. Overnight humidity recovery will be poor, only reaching 30% by morning. On Wednesday, conditions will remain critical: low humidity (10–15%) and increasing south-southwest winds, with afternoon gusts up to 26 mph. These conditions are expected to sustain active fire behavior.
Residents near the fire area should remain prepared for potential evacuations. Keep phones charged and emergency kits ready. Avoid the area and do not fly drones, as they interfere with firefighting aircraft. The San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services has established a website dedicated to the Ranch Fire with important information and valuable resources: Ranch Fire – Preparedness Starts Here
