Situation Summary

Forward progress of the fire was stopped at 4:37 p.m. The fire was burning on both sides of Bartlett Springs Road. At its peak, there were 10 engines, two dozers, two hand crews, two water tenders, three air tankers, one helicopter and one air tactical aircraft assigned to the fire. Temperature readings from the Spring Valley Road weather station showed 91 degrees with light winds (2 mph) and 18 percent relative humidity at the fire's time of discovery. 

Heavy mop-up operations is expected to take 4-6 hours.
