Situation Summary
Fire crews worked overnight to strengthen control lines, mop up hot spots and protect nearby structures. Fire continues to be fueled by brush, grasses and dead timber, contributing to an increase of fire intensity. Firefighters are working in steep, challenging terrain as they continue to strengthen containment lines.
Humidity remained low overnight and, today, warm and dry conditions are expected to continue. Afternoon winds are expected to bring an increase of fire activity.
The public is reminded that flying drones over the incident area is prohibited as it can ground vital air resources. If you fly, we can't.
