Current Situation

Situation Summary

Firefighters were able to mitigate one spot fire that was approximately one acre and they now have a dozer line completely around the spot. The fire is approximately 68 acres and remains 50 percent contained. Forward progress of the fire was stopped at 12:25 p.m.

Firefighters remain at scene continuing to secure control lines and mop-up inside the perimeter of the fire as we reach the peak of the day’s heat. Temperatures at the fire are 97 degrees with 11 mph winds and 27 percent relative humidity.

During the height of the firefight, there were 10 engines, five water tenders, three dozers, two hand crews
