 All air resources have been released. Ground crews are making strong progress toward containment and continue extensive mop-up operations due to deep juniper duff. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Residents are urged to stay alert and stay informed

CAL FIRE is at scene of a 23 acre vegetation fire near Harry Cash Rd and Frontier Dr. in the Mt. Shasta Vista Subdivision, Montague area. The fire is burning in juniper grassland. The forward rate of spread has been stopped.

Residents are urged to stay alert and stay informed.
