Incident Updates
Forward progress has been stopped. While steep terrain and weather conditions have made containment difficult, firefighters have made good progress.
Firefighters will remain at scene and continue to implement and reinforce containment lines.
Air Attack is now reporting 35 to 40 acres of grass with the fire backing into the wind. Additional resources continue to respond while resources at scene work to implement containment lines.
Per Air Attack, the fire is now 20-30 acres burning in the grass. Air and ground resources are working diligently to contain the fire. Additional resources are still in route.
New incident in Contra Costa County - Norton Fire, is currently 10 acres.
