The Custer Fire is 100% contained.
The fire remains at 90% contained, more information will be posted as it becomes available.
Fire is now 90% contained
The fire is now 28 acres and 60% contained.
CAL Fire is no longer in Unified Command, San Bernardino County Fire in now the lead agency on the Custer Fire.
Fire is estimated at 20 acres (not mapped). Forward progress is stopped, per Incident Commander. Fire containment is 10% and expected to increase to 100% today. All incident aircraft released. Crews will be on scene several hours for mop up operations.
San Bernardino County Fire, Apple Valley Fire Protection District, Big Bear Fire Protection District and CAL FIRE San Bernardino Firefighters are on scene of a 5 acre vegetation fire, Dangerous Rate of Spread with potential for 20 acres. Immediate structure threat to 3 residences, evacuations carried out by SBCSD.
