The Shore Fire is now 100% contained.

Resources continued with mop-up operations to establish full containment, the fire currently stands at 98% contained.
The Shore Fire is now 95% contained.
The fire remains at 3,085 acres and is now 91% contained. Firefighters have made significant progress extinguishing interior hotspots, completing mop-up operations, and continuing suppression repair activities throughout the incident area.
The evacuation WARNING for the Shore Fire Perimeter will remain in effect through the weekend to ensure the safety of both residents and firefighters as crews continue their work.
This will be the final Shore Fire update until Monday morning, June 22, 2026.

The fire remains at 3,085 acres and is now 78% contained. Firefighters made significant progress today strengthening containment and control lines and conducting mop-up operations on smoldering hotspots within the fire area.
Crews will continue suppression repair efforts, strengthen containment lines, and patrol the fire perimeter throughout the evening. The Damage Inspection Team is completing assessments of structures impacted by the incident.
An evacuation WARNING remains in effect for the Shore Fire Perimeter only. All other evacuation ORDERS and WARNINGS have been canceled.

The fire remains at 3,085 acres and is now 67% contained. Ground crews and dozer operators made significant progress overnight establishing and strengthening containment and control lines around the fire perimeter. Increased relative humidity and a persistent marine layer contributed to favorable firefighting conditions and supported suppression efforts.
Today, crews will continue strengthening containment lines, begin mop-up operations, and monitor and extinguish remaining hotspots within the fire area.
The evacuation ORDER for the Shore Fire Perimeter zone remains in effect, along with the surrounding evacuation WARNINGS. Fire officials continue to evaluate conditions and will adjust evacuation statuses when it is safe to do so.

The Shore Fire is now 54% contained.
The fire is mapped at 3,085 acres and is 32% contained. The increase in acreage is due to interior islands of unburned vegetation burning within the established fire perimeter.
Resources will continue working throughout the evening to monitor hotspots, lay hose, and strengthen containment lines around the fire perimeter. Interior hotspots may remain active and continue to produce visible smoke.
All evacuation ORDERS and WARNINGS remain in effect. The Incident Command Team will conduct a repopulation meeting tomorrow morning (6/17/26) to evaluate conditions and develop a safe re-entry plan for residents.
Highway 60 westbound at Interstate 10 is open. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in the area, as drift smoke may reduce visibility. Firefighters, heavy equipment, and emergency personnel remain actively engaged in operations.
