Incident Updates

Per Incident Command, the fire is 26 acres and 50% contained. The reduction in acreage is due to more accurate mapping of the fire perimeter.

The incident commander reports that the fire is now 15% contained. Air Attack has two tankers on hold at Paso Robles and has released a tanker from Porterville, indicating good progress on the fire and that forward progress has been stopped.

The Cotton fire is burning off Hwy 41 near the Kern County Line. The fire is approximately 15 acres in grass, burning at a moderate rate of spread. Per the Incident Commander, crews are making good progress, but the fire still has the potential to burn 200 acres. There are currently no structures threatened.
