The Putah Fire is now 100% contained.

The fire is now 95 percent contained and will move into patrol status where firefighters will come off the line, but continue to monitor the fire area until there are three consecutive days where no smoke is observed coming from it. Fire suppression repair begins on Monday.
Today crews will continue to patrol for hot spots, the fire remains at 85% contained.

Firefighters worked through portions of the day with gusty winds and in triple-digit temperatures as they sought out remaining hot spots 500-1000 feet inside containment lines.

Highway 128 between Pleasants Valley Road and the Canyon Creek Resort will remain closed overnight. Evacuation warnings have been issued for Zones YCU-197, YCU-293 and YCU-291.
The fire is burning in steep, rugged terrain where topography makes firefighting extremely difficult. Ten hand crews along with the helitack crews and dozers have been doing much of the heavy work constructing and strengthening containment lines. Their efforts have been supported by airtankers making fire retardant drops to slow the spread of the fire and helicopters conducting water drops.
A weather system moving through the area bought increased cloud clover, light precipitation and higher relative humidity, all of which has aided firefighting efforts. Gusty winds, however, continue to challenge operations.
The fire is now 15 percent contained.
The Putah Fire has been mapped at 361.7 acres by FIRIS (aerial intelligence aircraft).
Aircraft continue to work to slow the head of the fire on the north side with fire retardant drops. Firefighters on the ground are working to establish a hose lay on the right flank and are being supported by helicopters making water drops. The dozers are working to establish control lines on the north side of the fire.
The fire is now 120 acres.
