All evacuation orders have been lifted. Firefighters will remain in the area overnight to monitor for hot spots.

Evacuation orders have been downgraded, allowing residents to return home. As residents return, please drive cautiously, remain alert, and be mindful of emergency personnel and equipment still operating in the area.

The fire is now 90 acres and 20% contained, and while evacuation warnings have been downgraded, updates have been made to evacuation orders.

The Sorrento Fire is now 80 acres and 20% contained. Forward spread has been stopped. CAL FIRE engine, crews, and bulldozers continue to actively work on containment lines.

A drone has been spotted over the fire. Do not fly drones in the area, so firefighting aircraft can safely support crews on the ground.

The Sorrento Fire is now 65 acres. While the fire is within the city limits of San Diego, CAL FIRE ground and air resources are assisting.
