The Lucas Fire is holding within its current footprint of 50 Acres and is now 50% contained.

Forward progress of the Lucas Fire has been stopped. The fire is currently holding at approximately 33 acres within the Vineyard Road system. Firefighters remain on scene working to strengthen containment lines, monitor conditions, and ensure the fire remains within its current footprint.

Please continue to avoid the area and use caution as fire personnel operate in the area.
