Resources made significant progress overnight, strengthening control lines and completing hose line, dozer line, and direct line around the fire’s perimeter. Today, crews will continue mop‑up operations and work to extinguish remaining hot spots. Smoke may be visible as unburned islands are being consumed. No fire growth is expected. Please use caution while traveling through the area due to emergency vehicles.

Crews made significant progress today, increasing containment and conducting extensive mop-up operations. Firefighters continue extinguishing remaining hot spots, securing the fire's interior, and strengthening containment lines. Fire activity remains stable.

Isolated thunderstorms remain possible in the valley north of the incident. Firefighters will continue working throughout the evening to reinforce containment lines and increase containment.

Firefighters made excellent progress on the Brook Fire overnight, increasing containment to 15%.

Night-flying air resources continued suppression efforts through the early morning hours while ground crews strengthened control lines around the fire. Dozers also completed additional dozer line to support containment efforts.

Today, both ground and air resources will continue working to increase containment. Firefighters are making steady progress despite limited access and challenging terrain, which continue to make suppression efforts difficult.

Please use caution while traveling through the area, as multiple firefighting resources and personnel continue to operate on and around the fire area.

The Brook Fire, burning near Aloha Road and Blue Sky Road, approximately 4 miles northeast of Bella Vista (Company 33) in Shasta County, is currently 126 acres.

Firefighters are encountering short-range spotting, and numerous air and ground resources are actively engaged in suppression efforts.

Please use caution and be aware of emergency vehicles traveling throughout the area.
