Firefighters continue making good progress. The fire remains 95 acres and is now 75% contained. Crews will continue strengthening and securing containment line today while patrolling for hot spots until full containment is achieved.

The fire is now 50% contained and has been updated to 95 acres. All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted. Firefighters will continue strengthening and securing containment line throughout the evening, while crews patrol for hot spots and work to ensure the fire remains within its established perimeter.

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Mandatory Evacuation Order for the Pilot Hill Perimeter Zone for the area between Miners Valley Road and Equestrian Way. Please evacuate the area using Salmon Falls Road either south towards El Dorado Hills or north towards Cool. 

There is a Temporary Evacuation Point at the Placerville Library, 345 Fair Lane, Placerville, CA 95667. For more information go https://perimetermap.com/El-Dorado-CA.

The fire is currently at 92 acres and 5% contained. Air resources made aggressive drops early, helping slow the fire's spread, while ground crews continue building containment line around the fire.
