The Rock Fire is now 1,795 acres. Fire perimeter mapped by sensor aircraft.

Evacuations have been updated for the Rock Fire. Acreage size has increased to 1,443 acres due to high wind gusts in the area. Threat to structures and critical infrastructure. Significant augmentation of air and ground resources.

Per IC, fire is approximately 100 acres. Moderate rate of spread (MROS) with threat to structures and powerlines. Closure of HWY 395 south.

New incident in Inyo County - Rock Fire is 20 acres with critical rate of spread (ROS).  Fire is spotting up to 5 miles ahead of itself.
