Incident Updates
The Williams Fire is now 100% contained.
Firefighters will remain on scene over the next several days as the incident transitions into control status. Crews will continue extinguishing any remaining hotspots, strengthening containment lines where needed, and completing suppression repair work to help restore affected areas.

The Williams Fire is now 100% contained.
The Williams Fire is now 150 acres and 90% contained. Firefighters continue to patrol for hot embers within the perimeter of the fire.

Early this morning, firefighters identified a slopover on the #WilliamsFire that increased in intensity and burned outside the established containment line. The slopover is currently estimated at approximately 25 acres.
Firefighters remain on scene and are actively engaged in suppressing the fire, strengthening containment lines, and bringing the slopover under control. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.
The Williams Fire is now 35% contained.
Due to more accurate mapping, the fire perimeter has been updated to 135 acres. The fire remains 20% contained, and firefighters continue to strengthen containment lines and extinguish remaining hot spots.
The fire remains approximately 121 acres and is now 20% contained.
Firefighters made excellent progress overnight, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to strengthen containment lines and extinguish hotspots. This morning, day shift crews are briefing and preparing to head to the fireline, where they will continue strengthening containment lines, conducting mop-up operations, and extinguishing remaining hotspots to further increase containment.
This incident demonstrated the effectiveness of the Westside Fuel Break, along with the rapid response of both aerial and ground firefighting resources. Together, these efforts played a key role in limiting fire growth and helping protect nearby communities.

Firefighters continue to make good progress on the Williams Fire. The fire remains 121 acres, and forward progress has been stopped. Crews will remain on scene throughout the night, strengthening containment lines, extinguishing hotspots near the fire’s edge, and working to increase containment.
