Fire is holding at 25 acres and is now 25% contained. One outbuilding lost.
Evacuation Orders and Warnings are in place.
CAL FIRE NEU firefighters are responding to the Mooney Incident off Mooney Flat Road and Highway 20 in Penn Valley, Nevada County. Estimated at 25 acres with a dangerous rate of spread. Additional resources have been requested. Structures threatened. Air resources are over the fire, and retardant drops are being made. Evacuation warnings and orders in place. CAL FIRE is in unified command with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office.
