Incident Updates
The fire is now 100% contained after a full days work by CAL FIRE ground resources. The fire is now in patrol status, and one fire engine will check daily until there is no smoke or heat is detected.
The Afterbay Fire is now 70% contained.
Resources worked through the night, strengthening containment lines and mopping up hotspots. A fresh set of dayshift resources are in place patrolling and mopping up well interior of the fires perimeter.
Forward progress has been stopped on the fire. Direct line has been completed around the perimeter. Two Fire Engines and one Water Tender will remain at scene overnight, patrolling and mopping up hot spots.
The fire is currently 19 acres and numerous resources are assigned. There is no threat to the surrounding community or neighborhoods. No injuries to civilians or firefighters, and the cause of the fire is under investigation
