Firefighters faced the hottest and driest conditions of the incident to date while continuing to strengthen suppression efforts on the Green Fire.
Crews used drone technology to identify remaining hot spots across the fire area, including heat sources located in extremely steep terrain that could not be safely accessed from the ground. Water-dropping helicopters will continue to support firefighters by delivering water to these difficult-to-reach areas and helping cool remaining pockets of heat.

The fire is burning on the mountainside near Thurman Flats Picnic Area along Highway 38. Multiple agencies are on scene or responding, and road closures are being established between Bryant Street and Forest Falls.
