The firefighters were able to successfully mop up the remaining oak trees today. The Estrella fire is 100% contained and it will be in patrol status for the next few days.

Firefighters are continuing to focus efforts on heavy mop up in the riverbed.

Firefighters were able to mop up overnight, and will continue to do so through this afternoon. The downed oak trees within the contianment lines and interior riverbed are still holding some heat this morning, firefighters will be focusing thier efforts on heavy mop up.

Firefighters will continue to work through the night. Due to the oak trees in the riverbed, heavy mop up is expected.

Forward progress of the fire has been stopped.

The fire is burning in the Estrella Riverbed on both sides as well as nearby grass and oak woodland. The fire is currently 30% contained.
