The Feliz Fire is now 100% contained. The fire remains in patrol status.
No changes to acreage or containment.

The Feliz Fire is now 93% contained.
Damage Inspection (DINS) teams have concluded inspections for the Feliz Fire. All properties within the fire perimeter, as well as those located up to 300 feet beyond it were inspected.
We are encouraged to report that many properties within the fire perimeter had well-maintained defensible space, giving firefighters the opportunity to make numerous successful structure saves. Inspectors reported ZERO damaged or destroyed structures on the Feliz Fire.
These efforts highlight the critical role that defensible space plays in improving the safety of homes and supporting firefighting operations.

Fire crews continue to make steady progress on containment efforts. Today's operations focused on identifying and mitigating any remaining hot spots, helping strengthen containment and improve overall fire conditions.
The Feliz Fire is now 85% contained.
All out of unit resources have been released from the incident. Fire crews continue to mitigate hot spots and patrol containment lines.
Containment has now reached 80%.

Fire suppression repair activities will begin today. Crews and equipment will work to mitigate erosion on control lines, remove dirt and debris from streams, and repair roads.

Mop-up is one of the most important phases of a wildfire response. Firefighters carefully search for hidden hotspots, using water, hose lines, and hand tools to extinguish any remaining heat that could reignite the fire.
Every hotspot put out is another step toward full containment. Crews will continue this meticulous work until the fire is fully secured, protecting nearby communities and ensuring the fire stays within its established perimeter.

Before heading back to the fireline, crews fuel up with breakfast, pack lunches, and prepare for another long day of operations.
Out on the fire, firefighters continue patrolling the fire and extinguishing remaining hotspots to strengthen containment. Every hotspot extinguished brings crews one step closer to full containment.
Last night firefighters worked through the night and increased containment to 60%. The hot weather trend continues today. Firefighters will continue to build and strengthen control lines until this fire is 100% contained. A damage inspection team will be conducting inspections today.
Today firefighters made great progress strengthening control lines and extinguishing hot spots. Containment increased to 50%. Temperatures were in the low 100s and relative humidities were in the low teens. This hot, dry weather is expected to continue through the week.

Today firefighters are experiencing a hot day, with temperatures climbing to around 105 degrees. Relative humidity will fall to around 15%, while winds are expected to diminish throughout the day. Crews continue to put out hot spots and strengthen control lines.

Crews made significant progress overnight strengthening control lines and extinguishing hot spots. Firefighters continue working near Highway 101 in the Hopland area. Motorists should use caution and watch for emergency personnel and equipment.

While vehicles are now able to periodically pass through a single-lane of traffic for both directions on Highway 101, please continue to avoid the area for firefighter and public safety.

There is a Large Animal Shelter available at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds, 1055 N. State Street, Ukiah.
Temporary Evacuation Points at Mendocino County Office of Education at 2240 Old River Road, Ukiah, and another at United Disaster Relief at 650 Babcock Lane, Ukiah.
Three night-flying capable helicopters have been ordered by Incident Command, along with a night-flying helicopter supervisor.
Some Evacuation Warnings have been upgraded to Orders and additional Evacuation Warnings have been issued.
The Feliz Fire is now 501 acres, per remote sensing aircraft.
A highway closure has been ordered: Highway 101 from Henry Station Road to River Road (California Highway 175). Please avoid the area for firefighter and public safety.
