The Sorrento Fire is 100% contained. Some areas of the preserve will remain closed due to hazardous trees.
No change in acreage or containment.
The Sorrento Fire is now 95% contained. Fire crews continue to monitor the area. The Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve will remain closed to the public throughout the weekend for safety.
Fire crews will remain in the area overnight patrolling for hot spots, the fire is now up to 91% contained.
The Sorrento Fire is 138 acres and 75% contained.
The Sorrento Fire is now mapped at 138 acres, with containment at 60%.
The Sorrento Fire is now 60% contained.
The Sorrento Fire is now 25% contained.
All Evacuation Warnings have been dropped for the Sorrento Fire.

Forward rate of spread has been stopped.
A CAL FIRE aircraft supports suppression efforts on the Sorrento Fire by dropping fire retardant.
A Temporary Evacuation Point has been established at Eastgate Mall (Mandell Weiss Eastgate Park).
