Incident Updates

The fire is now 100% contained meaning firefighters have ensured it will not spread beyond the fire’s perimeter. Crews have put out remaining hot spots and cleared a protective line down to bare soil around the entire fire by clearing the vegetation around it. For the next 48 hours firefighters will continue checking the area several times a day to make sure there is no remaining heat or smoke, and that the fire does not reignite.

The fire remains 93 acres and is 75% contained. We were able to extinguish this fire quickly due to the massive effort put forth by the 9 aerial firefighting aircraft that were dropping retardant and water from the initial start of the fire.

Crews at the incident base camp prepare for another very warm day on the fire. Having a location set up for firefighters to eat and hydrate is imperative due to the arduous work that is presented while on the fire line.

The fire remains 93 acres, and containment has increased to 50%. Firefighters worked through the night building line construction around the fire strengthening containment lines. Crews will be focusing on continuing to cool off all hot spots today to eliminate any remaining visible smokes.

The fire remains 93 acres with an increase in containment up to 25%. Crews are continuing to work through the night.

The fire remains at 93 acres with 5% containment. Firefighters will be continuing to extinguish hot spots and strengthening control lines throughout the night.
