Incident Updates
Crews will continue to mop up and strengthen containment lines and closely monitor fire activity, ensuring it stays within controlled lines. All evacuations have been lifted. The cause remains under investigation.
The incident commader has updated the acres to 16. All evacuations have been lifted.
The forward rate of spread has been stopped, and the fire remains at 5 acres. A dozer line has been constructed around the fire.
The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has updated the following evacuation zones SIS-3309 and SIS-3314 have been downgraded to an Evacuation Warning. MTG-3408 has returned to normal status. The evacuation of Willow Creek Elementary School has been lifted, and students will return from Montague Elementary School. Please continue to avoid the area while crews work to strengthen containment lines and complete mop-up operations.
Forward rate of spread has been stopped. Evacuation orders have been downgraded to warnings.
