A vegetation fire started in the area of Circle Drive and Richmond Rd in Susanville. Firefighters quickly responded and were able to mitigate the threat to neaby structures. No structures were damaged. Crews will continue to monitor the area and complete any necessary mop-up operations.

Evacuation Warning: A potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate and those with pets and livestock should leave immediately.
Advisory: Residents should be aware of the situation and be prepared to evacuate if conditions worsen.
Shelter in Place: Go inside the nearest safe building, lock all doors and windows, and stay there until local authorities give the "all clear".
Evacuation Order Lifted: Officials have determined the immediate danger has passed. Residents may return home but should remain alert for any changes in conditions or updated instructions.
Normal: No current threats to life or property.
Red Flag Warning: National Weather Service Red Flag Warnings indicate warm temperatures, very low humidities, and stronger winds that can combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger.
