The Colorado Fire is now 171 acres and is burning at a moderate rate of spread toward the Merced River drainage. Firefighters are working to keep the fire north of Colorado Road, east of Telegraph Road, west of Buffalo Road, and south of the Merced River.

Rapidly expanding fire. The Colorado Fire is 30 acres, running upslope aligned with terrain and wind. Significant augmentation of ground and air resources have been requested. Steep terrain is making access to the fire's perimeter difficult.
