Winds are still testing established firelines but the hard work put in by firefighters has been successful in keeping the fire in its current footprint. Crews continue to mop up heavily brushed areas and patrol. Rolling debris across containment lines is still a concern due to the steep, rugged terrain.

The Colorado Fire is currently holding at 250 acres. Crews will continue their fire fight throughout the night to control the fire and mitigate further damage.

Evacuation Warning added for Colorado Fire: Zone Mariposa (551)
The fire continues to hold at 250 acres and is spreading at a slow to moderate rate. Fire activity is moving with the terrain and backing down toward the river canyon. There remains the potential for the fire to become established in the canyon; however, increasing humidity has helped slow fire progression. Crews are making good progress, according to incident operations.

The Colorado Fire is now 171 acres and is burning at a moderate rate of spread toward the Merced River drainage. Firefighters are working to keep the fire north of Colorado Road, east of Telegraph Road, west of Buffalo Road, and south of the Merced River.
