Resilience Dashboards
Wildfire Resilience Dashboards provide CAL FIRE, our partners, and the public with vital tools to improve transparency, track treatment progress, guide planning, and prioritize high-risk areas. By sharing data and supporting collaboration among agencies, communities, and partners, these dashboards help ensure strategic, effective actions that reduce wildfire risk and enhance safety and ecology across California.
Defensible space inspections are conducted by CAL FIRE and partners in the State Responsibility Area, providing residents with vital fire prevention guidance to protect homes, people, property, and natural resources while supporting CAL FIRE’s mission of safeguarding California from wildfires.
Nearly every day, CAL FIRE, partners, and grantees reduce hazardous fuels with prescribed fire and other treatments. These projects highlight where fuels treatments have provided a benefit to firefighting operations or ingress and egress of firefighters and the public.
CAL FIRE grant programs fund fire prevention, forest health, and community resilience projects while also supporting rural and tribal workforce development, encouraging business innovation, and supporting urban forestry initiatives that deliver lasting benefits to communities across California.
The Wildfire & Landscape Resilience Interagency Treatment Dashboard is California’s first unified platform showing federal and state treatment locations and sizes, improving transparency, planning, and coordination to meet ambitious wildfire and landscape resilience goals across regions and ownerships.
The Subdivision Review Program helps CAL FIRE Units and local jurisdictions plan for fire hazards, offering technical assistance, Subdivision Map Act guidance, Firewise USA support, and collaboration to build fire-resilient communities while meeting state requirements for safer subdivisions.
