Research and Development

The CAL FIRE Research and Development (R&D) Program will receive, review and make recommendations on proposals to improve the equipment and technologies used in preparation and planning, incident response, and command and control. These proposals could include ground, aerial, mobile, portable, or stationary equipment used by CAL FIRE. The R&D Program will work collaboratively with other government and non-government organizations to foster the continued betterment of the Department's capabilities.
